Stem Cell Research

So they have finally approved stem cell research for some spinal cord injury patients. Amazing. There focusing on paraplegics who can use there arms but not walk. That's my man! They will receive a single injection within 2 weeks of there injuries. I wish they had approved this 6 yrs ago when Beng first got injured. There is so much hope. Its truly amazing what they can do with stem cells. I know some people don't believe in it but until you have lived the life of someone like Bengy, even what his family lives, you cant judge. He has so much hope that he will walk again. His goal is to be walking in time to walk Dakota down the isle. :).. Wouldn't that be awesome. Whatever the outcome may be its a new chapter in history for embryonic stem cell research, and I cant wait. We will be able to hold hands and walk on the beach again. We dont get to do that. Funny story

So, I have this gum ball machine that my mom and her husband Carl gave the kids. Its a really cool one so I put it in the office. It gives the office some character. Well the kids are always running in after school putting there penny in and getting a piece of gum. Dakota got her gum 6 days ago. No joke six days ago. I know gross. But as a little girl I remember trying to chew gum for a long time just like Violet off of Charlie and the chocolate factory. I thought every little girl did that. Didn't they? Any who, I threw Dakotas gum away tonight. It was on the side of her plate after dinner and I was cleaning up the table and just threw it away. Wasn't thinking about the six day old gum. Oops. Big mistake. Let me tell you how it went down. She enters the living room shaking her head saying oh no oh no oh no.. What? Looks in the sink at her empty plate then looks at me and starts crying. You threw away my six day old chewed gum. And continues to have a total melt down. I mean crying real tears. It was as if the world was coming to an end. It was funny but I do feel horrible.. Six days. Now she has to start all over. I thought you would all enjoy the story. I wish I was 8 again. When how long you have been chewing a piece of gum was all that really mattered. TA TA

Mr. Obama

We have a new president. What a relief. I watched the 44th presidential inauguration yesterday and it was so touching. He has a way with words and a way of touching your soul and heart when he speaks. "Let us strive always to find common ground and to defend together those common ideas, for it is the only way we can meet the very big and serious challenges that we face right now". I was sitting in the living room by myself with a big smile and found myself cheering him on. I know how funny that must sound but its the truth. His speech was amazing. I'm excited to see what he brings to the United States. Anything is better than what Bush as brought us. It was a definitely a piece of history and I'm glad I was able to see it. I never thought I would see a African American president in my lifetime. Its great to see history and a change being made. His mom must be so proud. The kids even watched it at school. I think good things are to come. Anyways, back to the Forsbergs. Still not a whole lot going on. Kids have had a short week at school. No school Monday or Friday. Of course they are excited about that. They get to sleep in. Its been a really boring week actually. we haven't done anything. I need a vacation. I'm ready to take off for awhile. Cross your fingers for me. LOL.. Well the kids are getting hungry so have to run.. TA TA

Good day.

Today was Hunters first play date. He went over to his little buddies house and played for alittle while. They made homemade pizza and played outside. I think he had a great time. He didn't want to leave. He wasn't very happy when I came to pick him up. He asked me when I brought him over there if I was going to drop him off and leave? I said yup. He got all excited. It made me kinda sad. LOL. He is so ready to be a big boy. Since Dakota didn't go anywhere we took her down to the beach and the park.. She was excited to have daddy and mommy all to herself today. She had the whole day planned out, down to what she wanted to wear to the beach ( a dress). She likes how the wind blows her dress around. Daddy told her she had to wear jeans. She had a good time. We played on the rocks and she found some friends she went to school with down there and was able to play around with them for awhile. She got bord at the park because there wasn't any friends to play with. So wen went home and made a cake. She did a fabulous job. It was delicious. Andrew spent most of the day trying to make some money to put in his friends gas tank so they could go drive around for hours. I sure remember those days. We would drive up and down Port Townsend with the radio so loud. HMMMMM teenage days. Hope you all had a great weekend too. Ta Ta..

Cats

Cats are so funny. I know this is a silly picture, but I get a kick out of my cats. Fur ball one of my cats is laying on the couch with his eyes wide open looking at the couch. You would think he would be turned around checking out the TV or the kids, something other then the back of the couch. He layed there for awhile too. Hope you thought it was as funny as I did. Funny.

Walking Path

We spent the day yesterday driving around to places we haven't seen yet in PA. Was kinda cool. Came across this house that had like Egyptian towers on it. Very interesting. I was going to take a picture of it but I felt kinda weird. I didn't want the person who lived there to come out and say what the hell are you doing. That would have been scary. Anyways, we ended up at the beach and walked down this great path and saw this boat just sinking in the water. I guess some guy was living on it and during the storm in Dec. it crashed onto the shore. Hope he can get it out of there. Business has been really good the last few days. We have rented out 2 units in 2 days we are officially half full (YIPPEE) and our uhaul schedule log is full through the weekend. That's a good sign. I have a costumer that's getting ready to come in so I have to run. TA TA

Hello

Well, we had a day grocery shopping yesterday. I hate going grocery shopping. Don't ask why I just don't like it. Sometimes we end up with two carts full of food. Its embarrassing. Beng gets a kick out of me hating it to. I cant wait until we get a super wal-mart up here. That will be so much nicer and cheaper. I think you can get your best deals there on food. Especially when you have a family of 5 and teenage boys in and out of your house all the time. Between Bengy, Andrew and all Andrews friends we can go through a lot of food fast. Now I know how my dad felt after he would go shopping then come home and there was no bread left. We did get to drive out to the beach and take a few pictures. The kids threw some rocks in the water and ran around alittle. It was cold out there. It was a nice night to get out and see PA in the dark.. LOL. I think today I will rearrange my cub boards is that how you spell that. Sounds like fun huh? It will look good when its done. Ok well off to get cleaned up for the day. I have alot to do. TA TA

Boring

Today has been one of the boringest (is that a word) days. I did nothing. I didn't get to sleep until about 3:30am. So tired. I ran around in sweats all day. I did manage to get in the shower this morning. That's a plus. Work was even boring. I think I got 2 phone calls and know body came into the office. Oh well.. The kids and I took our dog for a walk today. He loves to get out and explore. He stinks so bad. I'm wondering if he rolled around in something dead. He needs a bath bad. I may need to do that. Ugh. That's about it for now. Like I said Its been a boring day. Nothing to exciting to talk about. TA TA

Rainy Day

What a nasty day. Its been raining most of the day so we just stayed inside today. Its nice working from your home on these types of days. You don't have to go out as much. Although I go out about 4-5 times a day anyways so it doesn't really matter. Running kids around and doing errand's. Anyway, Beng and a friend of his finally got my pot rack hung in the kitchen. Its so cool looking. I love it. He did by this thing back in Aug. but we had to get into the Attic and he cant really do that. How the heck would he get back down.. LOL.. We had to get some 2x4s up there to screw the hooks into so it wouldn't come crashing down. Im so happy Beng has some good friends willing to crawl around in an attic full of insulation and spiders. I really cant do it.. Thanks Anibal. Your awesome. All I need now is a brand new set of shiny pots to go on it. Mine are pretty old(black and burnt). Maybe Ill get lucky for my birthday. Better yet Beng has a birthday coming up on the 27th of Feb. Maybe I can get him some. He does love to cook. I bet know body really new that. He is a awesome cook. I think its from when he bumped his head on that tree he crashed into. It knocked the cook right into him. LOL. I have to go get Andrew so gotta run.. Sunday at Papa & Grandmas house

This morning the kids and I got up earlier and headed to my dads for some breakfast. It was so good. Pancakes, eggs (Fresh I might add), ham, sausage, & hash browns. Yummy.. Was great. Thanks you Nancy. The kids were stuffed quickly. Hunter didn't even finish his plate. I think I saw Papa take the sausage off of it.. We got to see there Christmas tree before they took it down. It was gorgeous and so nicely decorated but still a Charlie brown tree. The kids got to open there gifts from Christmas. Very nice. Then we sat around a played with cameras. The kids ran from chickens. Dakota just cant seem to get used to them after one of the old chickens attacked her. Dad and Nancy were good about it though. The had it for dinner about a week later. LOL As dad would say "We just sat around and shot the shit or shoot the shit". Over all a great visit. The kids and I stopped and took some pictures and had a nice ride home. Beng stayed home all alone and didn't bug me to much to come home. Once again he survives without me. I new he had it in him. LOL.. He s making dinner tonight. Should be good. Andrew as seemed to once again sneak off with his buddies. He'll be home for dinner tonight hopefully. we try to catch up on school and girls then. If he has a friend over its even better then we get to hear twice the gossip. He will be graduating in June. Class of 2009. Oh my god I cant believe the day is almost here. I'll be happy to have that diploma hanging on the wall.. He is working very hard. I'm proud of him.. I suppose I should go help my husband slice some bell peppers. He would appreciate that. Gotta run.

Another day

Another day. This is going to be fun. Im addicted now. Its like playing the Wii. Addictive. Hunter loves that thing. We acually played last night for awhile. Its probably been the best gaming system we have ever purchased. Its great and you get some great exercise too. Im telling you I get pooped out playing sometimes with the kids. We are always taking our Wii sports test to see who is the youngest player. I scored a 34 yesterday. (Im only 30) go figure. I will hopefully score better today. That makes me the oldest. UGH.. Everytime we go to the movie store to check out a movie Hunter always has to get a game. Well, not always. Sometimes Im a mean mom. $7.50. Ouch. There crazy expensive to rent. But there fun. I think Im in need of renting the new Wii Fitness. I bet that game is great. Well off to another great day in the Forsberg family life..

Wow a blog. What the heck is a blog? I guess I will figure it out as I go. I wanted something to do so I thought I would create one. (not that I dont already have enough to do). Also Beng got me this great new camera and I need somewhere to post my picture so everone can see them. Plus you all can stay updated on our crazy life. I hope you enjoy. I think the kids will get a kick out of us having our own little space in the cyberspace world. lol..
